Puppy Evaluations

Dark Blue is a very active male that likes to play rough. He is normally found chasing after one of the children looking for some action. He had a beautiful deep red colour right from birth and with the dark mask he is definitely a beauty. To top things off he has a fantastic build. He will make a great playmate and pet.

Hector is going to a home with another ridgeback playmate that is his half sister. Her name is Fee van de Eyssel Hoeve and she is from the "F" litter in 2006. I will visit this family in the new year and get some pictures of my beautiful "Dark Blue Boy" and "Red Girl." In addition to Fee he will have a handful of great kids to pamper him and a hobby farm full of animals to pester. It doesn't get any better!

Navy Blue Male. Red Wheaten colour. Very elegant male with a beautiful head and dark mask. No white. Dark eyes. Correct ears. Perfect ridge with large box and parallel crowns. Both testicles present. Tail correct. Nice tight feet. Very well developed angels front and back. Very good chest deep and wide. Dry and elegant neckline. He is very beautiful. Very dynamic male.

Following the remarks and findings of the evaluations is a paragraph dedicated to my personal feeling about the puppy character.

Under the pictures is a short description of the respective new families of each puppy.

Hatari is going to a very dedicated family in Germany. He will be their first Ridgeback. He is destined for the show ring and Natalia can't wait to get him home! This family travelled once a week from Germany to see him for four weeks! He will have an 11 year old boy to entertain and Hatari is definitely the dog for the job!

Hakuru is staying in Belgium and will be the first Ridgeback for a lovely young family. They have a 6 year old boy that is very enthusiastic and excited about the new family member. Hakuru will also make a debut in the show ring when he's ready. They will have their hands full with him but they have waited patiently for a very long time and they deserve a great dog!

Hifadhi is going to live in Nederland with a really nice couple. He will also take a turn in the show ring. It will take time for him to mature due to his size. When he's ready he will accompany his family on long hikes and walks and will probably get to travel. His family has waited many years for a Ridgeback and I think that this dog will exceed their expectations. He is adorable!

Forest is a beautiful male. He loves to be where the people are and is very gentle and consistent. He does not demand attention but he is always within arms reach if you want to pick him up. He is always the first male to greet me when I enter the kennel and can always be found standing between your legs waiting for you to notice him. This dog will make an excellent family pet and should his testicle drop into position, a great show dog too.

Forest is reserved pending the dropping of his testicle.

Grass Green Male. Red Wheaten, dark mask, small white breast spot. Beautiful head, dark eye, scissor bite, correct length of ridge with four crowns. Tail correct, ears correct, feet correct. Both testicles present. Very good angulation front and rear. Deep and large chest. No sinus present.

Hazaro will be the first Ridgeback for a very nice family in Belgium. He will stay with us until September and I can assure you that they will have to pry him from my "death grip!" He is very strong and gentle and unbelievably sweet! They will give him attention and dedication and he will reward them amply.

Yellow is basically a "nice guy". He spends his time playing with toys and digging in the sandbox and doing some general exploration. He rarely attackes his siblings and only fights when provoked. He loves to sneak into the house and take over the biggest and nicest dog bed he can find. He will leave the other puppies to try and engage the big dogs to play with him yet he knows when to back -off if they are not interested.

Hodari is going to Germany to a family that has been waiting a very long time to get him home. He is destined for the show ring and will probably do a fair bit of traveling. Hodari's owner came to visit and had a "love at first sight" experience with this pup. They are meant for each other and I think she will find that her very long and painful wait for her Ridgeback was worth it. He is Bukuru's son in both physical traits and personality. He will be cherished!

Fucia Female. Red Wheaten elegant bitch with wonderful face. Shadow mask, correct ears, correct bite, dark eyes, Wide but shallow chest. Wonderful ridge with large box and parallel crowns. Very good angulation front and rear. Tail correct, feet correct. No sinus present. Very calm and beautiful bitch

Fucia is a very sweet and gentle female. She loves to be handled and cuddled and will seek out physical attention whenever possible. She likes to play with her siblings but never strays too far away from her human family. She is so photogenic and feminine.

Hedaja is going to a family that lost a very beautiful ridgeback named Coco to old age. This family was waiting on a puppy from this litter long before Atiya and Bukuru were even mated. It was going to be a tall order to fill. There are three children in Hedaja's new family and I have no doubt that her relationship with them will blossom and fill the void left by Coco. Some things were meant to be and this match is one of them.

Lilac Female. Red Wheaten elegant and feminine bitch with no mask. Very beautiful head, correct ears, correct scissor bite, very small breast fleck. Beautiful long ridge with large box and parallel crowns. Very good angulation front and rear. Nice wide but shallow chest. Tail injury due to breakage close to implant. No sinus present . Very friendly and active bitch.

Angie is going to a young family with two girls in Paris. At three days of age Atiya stepped on her tail and broke it badly. Angie was very lucky and didn't sustain any nerve damage to her tail. It has healed well and although still noticeable at times she has regained full mobility and recovery. She is going into very capable and caring hands and will have much love and attention from the new little girls in her life. I think she will make them very happy.

Pink is an active and independent female. She is very strong and capable and will not hesitate to challenge her brothers physically. She has a lovely expressive face and is very playful and lively. She spends most of her playtime entertaining herself and exploring on her own. She is friendly and easy and is less likely to seek attention than her sisters.

Peach is a very lively and spontaneous bitch. She is always the first female to greet me at the door and has tremendous enthusiasm for playtime and exploring. She is always running from point 'A' to point 'B' and likes to be were the action is. She is her mother's daughter and can be very persistent and stubborn. She likes to play rough but also likes to be handled and cuddled.

Hidaya is on her way to Switzerland and is sure to reign supreme in her new home. Her family was already a big fan of Bukuru and when I took Atiya to Switzerland they fell in love with her too. They have been waiting for Hidaya to arrive since that time. She is destined for the show ring and will be showered with love and attention. She will have another ridgeback named Bantu to play with and a little boy to entertain. We have high expectations of her and are very happy with her new family.
