H Litter Atiya x Bukuru
Well here we are at three weeks of development today 16-7-2008. The time is flying by!
The puppies have open eyes and some even have teeth poking through. They are really begining to play. Growling, barking and howling are now part of daily life as they start to take on the world.
The whelping box is sill a fixture in the living room and the heat lamp is still on to make sure they are comfortable. This weekend the pups move to a larger area where they can do a bit of exploring and more active playing. The lighting is also better there so I hope to get better pictures.

Hard to believe that the pups will be four weeks in two days. It has been a busy couple of weeks for all and everyone is looking forward to some warmer weather so we can take the puppies outside to enjoy the summer.
Today the rain stopped and the sun suddenly appeared and like magic "POOF" we were all in the yard. The grass was far too long and still a bit wet but the puppies took full advantage of the change in scenery. Lets hope we have a few more days like this one.

Summer has arrived here at the Eyssel Hoeve! The pups are like little wind up toys that love to explode out into the garden to play and then slowly but surely one by one they run out of steam and sleep where they fall. My children are thrilled now that the puppies are so mobile and interested in them.
Atiya is not thrilled about having all the puppies loose in the garden all at one time as they are hard to keep an eye on but she is warming up to the idea and has even joined the pups in a summer snooze on the lawn.

Today marks the end of a very hot week in the summer calendar of 2008! The puppies found the sweltering days a bit much and spent most of their time sleeping.
They have taken over the large daytime kennel and like to explore and play and move about freely. Yellow boy even found the nerve to march into the house and take over Bokya's huge bed! My two boys erected their tent in the garden for a summer camp out in the yard. The pups thought the tent was for their own demolition competition!! We rescued the tent in the nick of time but barely.

The pups will be eight weeks old in two days and it has been far too long since I was able to get any new photos up on the site. This does not mean that I haven't taken any photos ....I have.
This gallery is an assortment of pictures taken over a two week period. They are not in any particular order. As you can see, the puppies are beautiful and growing and active. It has been so much fun these last two weeks. The puppies can REALLY play now and are so fun to interact with. They like to go hard and then turn into little sweeties when you pick them up. I wish they could stay like this forever.
It may be hard to believe but the pups are even more beautiful in real life than they appear in the pictures!
